The company had expanded significantly in recent years. However, its further growth was being hampered by legacy infrastructure that was incurring high IT and data center costs and impacting performance.

Struggling with highly customized processes, outdated on-prem applications, and other barriers to cloud adoption, Atkins needed a scalable and flexible solution to streamline and optimize operations and workloads, reduce costs, and ensure disaster recovery.

The solution was to devise a roadmap for upgrading and modernizing Atkins’ EBS infrastructure, migrating to Oracle Cloud and implementing Sutherland’s RingMaster Platform to automate and accelerate project schedules.

Using the RingMaster platform to automate CEMLI (Configuration, Extension, Modification, Localization, and Integration) retrofit and testing meant the EBS upgrade project could go live ahead of schedule with zero defects. It also enabled our client to further enhance performance by running workloads more efficiently and rapidly.

Additionally, we implemented backup policies with a comprehensive disaster recovery plan for greater resiliency and a 24-hour recovery time.
