Our client is a leading healthcare technology provider, offering advanced medical technology and services to customers in over 100 countries. Headquartered in the US, they are dedicated to improving care, outcomes, and healthcare policies across various sectors globally.
To stay competitive and meet customer demands, our client needed more than temporary fixes—they required a partner with the agility to address immediate challenges and the expertise to support long-term goals. Key areas for process enhancement included care delivery management, imaging systems like X-ray and radiography, and financial management for reimbursement and claims. Tackling these needs simultaneously across multiple verticals to improve customer satisfaction and user experience was a complex task due to the scope and scale of the client’s operations.
The Solution
Sutherland created an IT development site with more than 140 personnel trained and dedicated solely to the client and their specific products. We created a strong domain team of clinical subject matter experts including physicians, radiologists, and healthcare IT architects.
Sutherland quickly assembled Scrum teams with the expertise to test products not only against their design but also in real clinical settings. At Sutherland’s development center, productivity was increased, and development processes were streamlined and automated. This approach maximized the efficiency of the client’s solutions, focusing on clinical content development, end-to-end verification and validation testing, business intelligence, embedded systems development and validation, and test automation.
The Outcome
As a result of Sutherland’s tailored, fully integrated support infrastructure, our client achieved significant business outcomes. These included a reduction in clinical imaging errors, a 66% decrease in cycle times, and substantial savings through the optimization and automation of test cases.
We reduced testing efforts by 96%, with test automation delivering execution speeds 30 times faster than manual processes. Additionally, the flexibility and scalability of our solution allowed personnel to be strategically allocated where their expertise was most needed.
