The Challenge

Resolving Service Disruptions and Strengthening Data Security

One of the world’s leading manufacturers of high-quality athletic shoes, apparel, and accessories, Adidas needed a reliable, effective, and secure sales platform to enable e-commerce.

Their legacy e-billing application experienced regular shutdowns. The sales portal was often unavailable at critical times, disrupting business operations and making strategic decision-making impossible. Inadequate back-up mechanisms and disaster recovery solutions compromised data integrity and security.

Adidas needed a modern, futureproof solution to guarantee uptime, performance, and security and underpin growth.

The Outcome

A Seamless Migration to Business Benefits

Sutherland conducted a thorough analysis of Adidas’ existing infrastructure, applications, and operational processes. The analysis compared the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) of various cloud platforms to enable informed decision-making.

Following a swift proof of concept for a ‘lift & shift’, Adidas chose OCI for its cloud platform.

Sutherland managed the entire migration process, including selection of the optimal availability zone with minimal latency, with no business disruption or data loss. ClouDesk-based cloud infrastructure monitoring and management with built-in SLA management ensured SLAs could be tracked and performance assured.

The cloud transformation resulted in improved platform performance and improved built-in security.

A Centralized
User Management Solution

Starting by evaluating existing automation efforts, we leveraged our Sutherland RAPID model to re-evaluate our client’s use cases by replacing their existing RPA solution software with our end-to-end hyperautomation platform Robility. We used our Sutherland Robility platform to connect disparate systems across the business and deliver a more efficient workflow for our client. We created a one-window solution for all Claims First Notice of Loss (FNOL).

We utilized Robility's native OCR, RPA, workflow, AI/ML and digital command center components to increase speed-to-market and derive more value from use cases. The Robility hyperautomation platform centralized the user management solution across various applications. This allowed us to effectively manage user roles and application access management while dramatically increasing productivity and reducing overall cost of both licensing and operations.
